Most certainly, just not anyone in my family, but the name goes back a long way, I've seen it in old books.

Sarcasm aside I really have no idea, but I think it's a good tradition so long as you don't take it too far... George Foreman.

I can answer this question twice actually;

At birth I was named after a Johnny Mathis song and my oldest aunt. At adoption I was re-named to reflect my two adopted grandmothers' names.

As to how far back the names go; I don't honestly know.

Interesting question; I look forward to seeing some interesting answers.

Not a family member, but I was named after this girl who my Mom thought was really pretty and kind.

I was named after my aunt who died a couple years before I was born and I think she was named after her gramma so this name goes back at least 90 years or more. I wish I had the guts to change it but my dad would disown me!!

Yes...my first name, Emily, came from my mom's mother.

My middle name, Kathryn, is for some great-aunt way down the line. I think she died shortly after I was born.

Nope I was named after the famous basketball player Dominique Wilkins..and now I am stuck with Dominique forever...

No I was named after a little redheaded girl who was snatched by her father and her mum got her back on the day I was born,I am also redheaded.
