Sometimes they slip it on the end of words instead, so it more or less balances out.
President Kennedy, for example, would always talk about "pocking the cahhh"....then he'd say that there "are soviet missiles in cuber".

Redsox fans are from everywhere in the world and everyone has different accents. Some people can pronounce their r's and some can't, big deal!
With your rational there is something wrong with every school system then.

First of all, it's "pahty" not "potty" and nothing is wrong with our public school system. It's the New England accent. I'm sure there is some kind of accent where you come from. The accent is part of our culture and heritage. I am very proud to be a New Englander and Red Sox fan.
If you can't stand our accents so much, either turn down the volume or don't even bother watching the games.

Same reason the South has there accent, or the northern mid-west (Minn, Michigan, North/South Dakota) have there accents... I am sure that your pronunciation of the English language will reflect where you come from.
By the way, it isn't just the Red Sox fans or New Englanders in general who do not pronounce there R's. Listen to a New Yorker, better yet spend a day or two in New Orleans...

Different areas of the country have different dialects. It doesn't mean there is anything WRONG with them. I'm from the south where everything is drawn out and has a twang. I think it's part of the charm embracing from where you came!
