There was a lovefest in the booth on Monda Night Football over Bills QB Trent Edwards and I don't know why. Edwards had a nice completion percentage but finished with less than 200 yrds passing. I didn't remember seeing a whole lot of clutch throws. The offense ended up having score 3 points against a slightly better than average defense. And oh by the way zero TDs and 1 pick. Yet the way Ron Jaworski spoke of him I though may be he was Jaws' first born son. Did anyone else witness the greatness of Trent Edwards like the MNF crew apperently did?

Dallas' defense isn't stellar.

He did a great job staying calm and making wise plays with two exceptions toward the end. Being a good QB doesnt always require high passing numbers.
My team got so lucky at the end- thankfully

He's rare in that he's a rookie with poise, like Ben Roethlisberger was as a rookie. He has adjusted incredibly to the speed of the NFL, throwing accurate passes under pressure and showing a strong arm.

Buffalo's game plan relies heavily on the running game, which helps them set up huge passing gains off of play fakes on rushing downs. Buffalo was unable to establish a consistant, effective rush last night, which lead to sub-par numbers in the passing game, also.

Don't put words in the commentators' mouths. They never claimed Edwards possessed "greatness," but rather remarkable potential. If the Bills can update their game plan to take advantage of a mature Edwards further down the road, then we can be looking at a revived and revamped Buffalo offense when the time comes.

Trent is a huge step up form Losman! He is the future of Buffalo and looked very good under pressure! Take away that 1 int and he would have had a great game against a stellar defense. Trent will win the starting job in Buffalo and have a pretty good year! Too bad Buffalo has the toughest schedule in the NFL!

Edwards played a good game for a second start. Maybe Jaws realizes that everyone is tired of the hype over Romo and T.O. Both of which had a bad game.

The media loves to build people up to the highest pinnicle and destroy them before they reach it. Just like T.O. they was talking about how great he is but they said lets just wait and see when dallas starts loosing how he will tear the team apart. It's really annoying how they do this all the time. If dallas loses and to patriots of course T.O. will be upset just like the rest of the players but the media will single him out and amplify everything he does ten times its ridiculous.

They've got to talk about something. I'm just glad the Patriots-Cowboys game isn't on Monday night. That crew would likely go on and on about whichever chick Brady has knocked up now.

I think Jaws secretly loves him. Bill Walsh said he was good so I guess it must be so. If the defense hadn't done all the Bills scoring they would have been whipped badly, as usual.
