Whichever of these teams you were rooting for is now wearing that all too familiar "Wait Till Next Year" sign............For me it's the Yankees..........OUCH it hurts!!!!...........Yet we're all baseball fans and the World Series is the crowning glory of the sport.........Now that your team won't be a part of that are you going to root for another team to become the champs???........I'm sure baseball fans won't turn away from the W.S. because their team isn't in it.........I know I won't......That having been said which team will get your support for the rest of the playoffs and thru the Series???.....I'm going to root like hell for the Colorado Rockies..........They came on like gangbusters and I would like to see them win it all.............How about you???..........CAT

Fantasy purposes has me in the Colorado corner...I had Matt Holliday, Tulowitzski, Francis, and Atkins at the end of the season and they did great things for me. So that being said, GO ROCKS!! But all of that being said I should add one more thing. This is probably, on paper, going to be one of the worth World Series ever. Lets be honest. Would the Rockies or the Diamondbacks of this year had made the playoffs the last, idk, 10 years?? 20?? or even ever? I just don't think so. The National League as a whole was DOOOOWNN, which is why right there at the end the Phils, who lost to the Rockies in the NLDS who barely got in, caught the Mets who were supposed to be the best team in the NL this year, or at least the most balanced line up. Then the Braves, who had the best lineup on paper couldn't pitch down the stretch, and honestly didn't get some hits when they needed them. The Brew Crew proved to be a joke just like I thought they were, and the Pads were in the race all year with not much out side of Jake the Snake and Greg Maddux (who didn't even have a Maddux like year) and oh yeah Chris Young. I mean outside of Adrian Gonzalaz who on that team has really proved themself as a hitter? Giles? neither one of them. One was overrated and one just never was that good. Cameron had like one season, and Khalil Greene hasn't hit in the Majors since he got here. The National League was weak. Real real real weak. Embarrasing week. And then on the flip side, how can you not have the Detroit Tigers in the playoffs??? They could in any given series beat any given team and yet somehow they get left out of the equation. Point here is the playoff system needs to go to 8 teams. The top two division teams and two wild cards, or the top division teams and 5 wild cards. IDC how but it has to get more interesting than just the race at the end of the regular season, b/c frankley watching the NL side of the playoffs hasn't been very very exciting except watchin the Rockies b/c they weren't supposed to be there. I think the AL is going to walk away with this WS no matter if it is the Sox or the Indians simply b/c who is going to beat them? The Rockies? I mean honestly the Rockies??? who the hell is going to go up against the Schillings and Carmonas and Byrds?? Yeah Francis can hang w/ the Aces but after that what? Fogg against Carmona? Joke. Then after Webb what do you have?? Livan Hernandez?? Lol...This is going to be a laughable WS b/c the actual "world series" to me is the Indians vs. The Sox....there is your world series b/c they are the two best teams in major league baseball.....

my Cleveland Indians are still in the hunt but if they lose I will not root for Boston which is just the second coming of the evil empire to me. If Cleveland is not in then I will hope for the Rockies but really, even though I like baseball I love the Indians and the WS will not and is never not the same without the Indians. No way do I stay up all hours of the night or spend my money on a Tribe-less World Series. I go to bed at a normal hour with my blood pressure at a normal level, my heart beat level and read about the outcome in the box score of tomorrows newspaper.

I'm a Cubbies fan whose dreams got crushed again. *sigh* Anyway, you're right any true baseball fan doesn't turn away from the series just because their team is no longer in the running.

I'm hoping the WS is the Indians v. Rockies. The Rockies have never played in the series. The Indians haven't been to the series since 1997 & haven't won since 1948. So, I think them against each other would be awesome!! I think I'd have to route for the Rockies just to be faithful to the National league. I can't wait to see how this plays out!

Tyring to regroup is difficult now that the Yankees are out. It would be sacrilegious for any Yankee fan to root for Boston so I have to join my in-laws from Ohio and root for the Indians. Neither the D-Backs nor Rockies interest me. Once the Phillies were eliminated I closed the book on the National League for 2007.

My team, the White Sox, hasn't been in the running all season, but I decided before playoffs started, to root for the Tribe. They are an interdivisional rival so I am familiar with and/or have respect for most of their players. I think they will go all the way. I've already watched Major League to get myself in the mood for an Indians WS. Go Indians!

I going with the Indians since my Yankees lost to them it hurts less if they are beat by the World Champions like last year with the Tigers. Plus so they can knock Boston out of it!

I'm excited to see what the Yankees line up and rotation will look like next year with
A-rod having the option to trade and Jorge is a free agent. Roger is too darn old to come back and not effective enough. We need more joba chamberlain and Phillip Hughes!

I'm with you - go Rockies!
(my team is the A's - they have not been competative all year)

Just the run the Rockies made to get into the playoff at the end of the season was enough to get my attention.

Bottom line is for the teams that didn't make the playoffs, the players may have earlier tee times, but the GMs are working overtime to dump them and get the winning attitude on their clubs.

I'll be rooting for the Rockies. In my opinion they deserve it more than the other 3 teams.
