I've been told 235/65/16, 225/60/16 and a few other sizes. Which one is right?

Well, like poster 1 said, you want to get the best tire for your current rims then its going to be the stock size of 235/60/16, though it wouldn't hurt to go with 225/60/16. I definitely would not go with the 65 profile, would rather go 235/55/16. Increasing the profile will lead to more flex in the tire and worse handling. Since you are getting new tires you may want to consider upgrading to new wheels too, but I wouldn't go higher then 18 inch rims for your vehicle because you want to keep the profile no lower then 45. You can try www.tirerack.com or simply go to your local tire/wheel dealer for a great deal and lots of options.

Suzuki Xl7 Tire Size

the 16 is the diameter of your wheel in inches. The 60 is the profile (amount of tire between wheel and the outside of tire) in millimeters. For every inch in diamter you go up, you want your profile to go down about 12.7mm. You won't be able to get it perfect but try to get it close. If not, your speedometer will be off.

The 235 is the width of your tire in millimeters. Try to keep it the same. I don't know what your car can handle so don't go crazy on wide tires.

If you get tires with a different width or diameter, you will need to wheels, as well.

I wouldn't get any of those tires you mentioned.
