Enjoy him every minute you can and stop worrying or you'll have him scared of life.
We all feel concern no matter what their age but you can't wrap them in cotton wool.
Enjoy him and enjoy teaching him to become a citizen of the world. All the best to you and your son.

You are probably being paranoid, if there's no real reason why you think he's in any kind of danger.
If you think you have a good reason to be scared and worried, then take steps to protect your son!
Otherwise, it's just paranoia. You obviously love your son very much. You are just exhibiting the signs of a concerned parent.

The first time you experience parenthood the feelings are so intense! Every parent has to accept that they can only do so much to protect their children. But, remember, the vast majority of children grow up without major incident.
Do what you can reasonably do to protect him. Then, leave him in God's hands. It might help to close your eyes and visualize physically placing him in the palms of God. My son lives a long way from me now, and I do this whenever I'm worrying about him.
And enjoy that little one!

First of all RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing will happen if you are keeping a watchful eye. You can only do so much to keep them safe you protect them while their little and let them try their wings when their ready... mistakes will happen but that's all a part of living and life. If i counted the mistakes I've made in raising my children I'd be a rich woman by now!

Well is this your first child? Why do you feel that way? If it is just being a new dad this is so normal. my husband had to be sat down by a nurse after he was born and practially shoved the child in his hands lol....it was fine after that...but if you really are having major issues with this then talk with his pediatrician and he can give you some great advice as well as direct you to the right people should you need to talk with someone....

Life is full of rational and irrational fear....protective brain stimuli are making you become more irrational than usual but it is for a good cause..so monitor yourself and see if you can adapt to let him explore with you at a greater distance..etc.

You won't get over it--you're a parent, and a loving one. My son is five, and I still feel the same way. It probably won't go away--you feel that way because you love him so much. I know, its a scary feeling.

Bad news.
You're perfectly normal.
And it doesn't go away.
Mine are grown and I still worry.
