I am thinking of dropping Miller for Gerber... Good move or not? Should i hang on to emery? Thought process is that Buffalo won many games with offence last year and has lost that plus some defence. Also Gerber and Emery as a tandem could be the best in league. Am i crazy or am i on the right track? Thanks

Bad move. When Emery comes back, Gerber will hardly play a game. Emery is their man, and management pretty much is convinced that team play is making Gerber look better than he really is. He was crap last year, and there is no reason to think he is the next Patrick Roy now. Dropping a bonafide starter for someone who will ultimately be wasting space on your bench is a bad idea. You might consider trading Miller, but dropping him will come back and bite you. It's the classic mistake that you see every year in every league: people overreacting to what happens in the first few games. Someone in one of my leagues just dropped Olli Jokinen for Mike Comrie. I guarantee you that whomever picks Jokinen up will be laughing themselves to death this spring when Comrie goes back to being the mediocre slouch he really is and Jokinen scores 40 goals or more. Don't make the same mistake with Gerber and Miller.

Crazy
Miller is the #1 goalie in Buffalo

Toskala will split time with Raycroft, and the team is bad anyway so the number of wins will be minimal.

Ottawa is actively trying to trade Gerber. Emery should be back any day now, and Murray says that Emery is expected to start 60-65 games this year. That doesn't leave a lot of games for a goalie on his way out of town.

keep miller. he is the number 1 guy in buffalo, and without Biron as backup, Miller should see even more playing time than last year. gerber would be a good pick up, but I would not drop any of the goalies you have.

If you can, put Emery on the IR. He will be out a few more weeks after offseason surgery. This would allow you to pick up another player.

If you're really that worried about your goalie stats, drop a mediocre winger/center who isn't doing much for your team and pick up gerber temporarily, then drop him as soon as emery is back in shape. I agree with the folks above, dropping miller will cost you in the long run.

Stupid Idea.

Keep Miller, when the year is over, he'll have more wins than Gerber

get rid of emery for gerber. miller is gold and toskala is a beast. emery is good but he is too if-y.
