I think traditions are the basics of constructing your life because you born and grow with your family's traditions until you bring up your life by your self, first you must have a good description of modernization.but I say something if you just hold your life on modernization you would not have a stable life.because every step of modernization is a test for society to see if this step is good or bad for next few years later.this is not good to make a laboratory mouse out of your self.
But the good is that you can bring those modernizations to your life which are approved by the majority of society such as vaccination ,internet,i pods and so on....

Without modernization, we would still be suffering from many illnesses which we now consider minor. Modernization usually results in more efficient use of our time. Modern communication alerts us to possible dangers so quickly that loss of life due to flooding, storms etc. is now newsworthy, rather than the norm. That's the argument. The downside of it is, without tradition, we may not recognize a new presentation of an old problem. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Both are important. The modernization is important but you can´t forget the tradition, because the tradition is your history. Your life as you know it now is the product of the tradition.
