Yes my son's partner suffers with Polycystic Ovaries, it can be very painful and cause problems with periods, excess hair growth and weight problems in some cases and problems with fertility if left untreated but it can respond to treatment in the early stages or surgery if necessary. Many women have ovarian cysts without even knowing or having symptoms but Polycystic Ovaries can affect long term fertility so need treating.

yes, unfortunatley my sister was diagnosed with this a few years ago and now she is finding it hard to conceive a baby. She has practically all of the symptoms from weight gain, no show periods and excess hair...she had an operation for this but still no luck with a baby...her periods have started to show recently tho so fingers crossed!
i have some of the signs of this too, but hopefully it will skip me! my doctor told me to have children at 19 in case i had PCOS but i am work minded, which isnt fair on my sister as she wants kids!
apparantly its from the father's side of the family too which is strange to hear!

Yes I have heard of it. My friend has it and was told she would never have children because of it. Last year she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl!

Yes, my cousin has it and can suffer with it quite a bit. If you think you might have it, or anyone you know might, get to a doctor.
