Steve Earle- his last three releases are brilliant. He plays most of the instruments, too. "The Revolution Starts Now" will take you on a journey of American music from rock to old timey bluegrass, country and mountain music, plus some humorous songs like his calypso ode pledging his love to Condi Rice (very tongue in cheek).
