I've been to plenty of gas stations looking for air pumps and it seems like nobody has them. The one gas station I found with one has been broken for over a week. I need like 10 psi in all my tires so any advice is helpful.

There are little tire pumps available from car parts stores. It is battery operated from your car battery. They are not fast but they do work and they have a pressure guage. You can store them in your trunk. There are also foot operated pumps that can serve you well. How about some of the self service car wash places - sometimes they have coin operated air pumps. Try a tire sales place. They surely have air feeds. They best is to have your own portable unit then you din't need anyone else.

If you are having trouble finding a gas station , buy an air pump. They are inexpensive, plug into your cigarette lighter, and they can also help you out if you have an unexpected flat tire.
You should not go to a mechanic shop. I work at one, and while I don't mind giving people free air when I'm not busy, I should not be expected to stop working on paying customer's cars to give someone free air.

Not sure what part of the country you live in, but almost all the gas stations around here have air machines. You may have to spend .50c or something, but I'd suggest to keep checking out gas stations and/or truckstops.

i usually stop at the closest mobil they seem to always have a functioning air machine and its never a coin operated one '
if you still cant find air try a tire store
if you have a garage go to a tool store and buy a air compressor then you can be all set

For a reasonable price you can buy a very good portable tyre inflator. It runs from your car battery through the cigarette lighter and as long as the engine is running you wont drain the battery.
