What a dumb question. We use our yesterdays as a guide for our todays. Like, when I meet a pretty woman, I know that somewhere hidden on her body is a "Made In Hell" sticker. Takes years to learn that stuff.

I have a life and a home that hubby and I worked our asses off for. We are introverts, which mostly means we love being homebodies puttering , but we have interests, hobbies, 2 computers, we're healthy and we can still travel and enjoy life without demands of JOB.
We laugh all the way to the bank with retirement checks.
I can be here in YahooAnswers, over at 360 blogging, posting my photography at flickr or photobucket or doing some research all over the internet, reading a good book, watching movies, shopping, trying out new recipes, making reservations for our next mini-vacation, or playing pirate games with my sweetie!
Yesterday??? Hell no. I'm having too much fun living today!
But...................................my memories of yesterday are what make me who I am and to a great extent I do enjoy reminiscing and holding onto a thread of a past that is still teaching me who I am and who I want to be.

I seem to be missing something here. As we grow, as we age, we gain a tremendous bank of knowledge stored on our personal hard drive. The older one gets, the more data is stored...and, like using your computer, you go back over old files, view, then move on with writing new data to the disk...there is no difference whether is it is a computer or a person's brain...here, we share memories, AND so do you! Tell me you don't share this and that with friends! IF you say no, I will say you are a liar! The difference is, we have so many more than you limited life has gained. AND, guess what..you want to get into a philosophical debate, we will debate you with facts, not feelings. We will use history to back up our claims, not air or falacies...I suggest you be very careful in the future when you make "attacks" such as this, for you will find yourself looking the fool in your arguements, unless you are a very rare animal...which, from your statement above, I seriously doubt. Here is a piece of wisdom that I will give you free of charge. ENGAGE your brain before you open your mouth. Good luck and peace, Goldwing

"Seniors" not "Seniours" "you" not "these"
"Life is to be understood backward but to be lived forward."
"History repeats it self." Your turn will come and you will find
out, How it works, It is a wonderful life a life time journey, If we lived only in yesterday we would not know how to use this new
era PC. Have a good day Have an interesting life. Blessings

You've got some good anwerers above me and I'll add to them to say that today is very much shaped by my yesterdays but not held by them. I am richer for my past experiences...all of them, though I would not have chosen many of them.
My present is content and fulfilling and I have time to care for and make a positive impact on those I meet.
My future is in God's hands, for which I'm grateful. I look forward to whatever is in store, simply because I know the past has been taken care of in times of difficulty and I know Who I can turn to when in need.
I hope you have as a fulfilling life as I have had and will have.

I vote for (a) I have a life.
Some memories are good
and I like to revisit those,
Some memories are bad
and I let them go.
All those yesterdays
Make up who I am today,
There like an old friend
Who sees me on my way.
I live in each moment
Each day is it's own,
As I write a new chapter
What it will be, is unknown.

i am not sure how to take that question. i will assume you meant well. of course we have a life, we don't just grow old and wither away. we have a yesterday to look back on. those were the best years and we like to reminisce. we will never see those years again. a shame. but now we take it one day at a time. at least I do.

Yes we have a life. We are relating here. It's fun to talk about the "old days." But we definitely live in the present when we are off Yahoo, thank you very much.

I sang Moments to Remember at my high school graduation in 1964! It is a memory I would not give up for any thing. We learn, grow and live by our memories.

I have a life.I am still riding my Harley. I sell on Ebay. I have tried to keep up with all the new electonic gadgets by taking classes, etc. Too bad my body isn't keeping up! But, life is good.
