It was country, the singer was a guy, it was about a girl who got pregnant at 17, had a daughter named Emily, and was a stripper. Lyrics had (and not 100% sure right) "She took it off to keep the lights on. " ANd was talking about the girl doing what it took to survive. It was a haunting and awesome song. Help??

I've heard the song too but none of the preview sights have it. I think it's a album cut . If you can call the station that would be good, or if your listening to the song on a big city radio station, I could possibly find what the song is if I know the station via a website called yes.net if I also know date and time

Unfortunately mine was on a small country station that barely even has a website..so no help on that one..sorry

If you remember the station, then search the station on Google and the site will probably appear.Try and remember what time you heard the song.It will probably show a list of songs that played. Then go to, http://esnips.com and type in the title of the song you think you heard on the station and check if it's right.

I already did what the lazy guy above me said for you to do and got nothing. I need more lyrics. Are you sure it was a country station? New or old song?

Type what lyrics you know of into google, followed by the word lyrics.
It should come up with sites with song lyrics on them, and if they match up to the song you heard, then bingo!
:)

Well theres no need to be rude i was only trying to help, to you below me
