Are the aims and goals of governments going in the wrong direction? Are people just cogs in a government policy to run a country as an industry?

If the goals of a Govenment feel wrong and going backwards ,instead of foreward they deserve to be removed from office ,but sometimes the thinking of what would be a good thing ,again the people might not go for it because it is to far advanced for them to think about it.

The statement you make in your question is untrue. The accumulation of wealth is not the sole purpose of laws and policy. You to look deeper than the headlines and the drivel that a sociology professor has hand fed you. There are alot of government entities, organizations and people that are making the country a better place.

just the libs want to be like a Communist society and everyone is treated equal this is not capitalism the way the united states was supposed to be remember your government class the only thing the federal government was to provide for was trade between the USA and foreign countries printing of money and the most important of all defense not welfare or other Communist programs we have now

I don't agree with the premise of your question. In the US, government policies are working to provide protection to the nation and our people.
If person accumulates wealth, it is good for that person...and for the government because he will probably have to pay more taxes.

I really dont think so.
Jobs are good for everyone, and if you dont support business, you dont have jobs and things get bad for everyone.
You cant make money if the people dont have money to spend
