Nope, you should be fine as long as there aren't any sharks in the pool. It's natural.

Why can't you use tampons? I'm sorry, but there is no way to stop your period. Use either a tampon or a menstrual cup. The menstrual flow will not stop in the water, as many seem to think.

Please don't consider taking 6 Advils, that would be on the verge of overdosing, I cannot believe that someone would suggest such a thing.

As for going on hormones just to stop your periods, no, don't even consider that. Having a period is something that women go through, there is nothing unnatural about it, and if you don't need to be on the pill, don't go on it just for the sole purpose of stopping your periods. Some women are trying to stop their periods with the pill and find that it doesn't even work for them.

What I do is I take 6 advils about an hour before I want it to stop. It'll stay stopped, for me at least, for about 5 hours. DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 6. This may not work for you, but it's worth a try. And make sure to eat something right after you take the pills or else your stomache won't feel good.

If I were you I would get on hormones to stop your periods. No sense having to mess with them if you don't have to!
