I guess it's because Americans can't handle the truth. Ron Paul tells the truth and he is not a front runner even though Americans say they want the borders secured, the war ended, and stop sending jobs out of the country. Why would anyone want to put a Clinton back into power when they know how crooked they were. The leading Republicans don't stand for any of the values that were associated with the republican party. Bush turned out to be the most immoral president we could have picked. We have the best government money can buy with no morals. Why is it with 11 million illegals in the country we can't get enough fruit pickers? Bush says they are doing jobs Americans don't want to do. Why would our government stand by and allow Mexico to dump all their poor into this country while they improve their own country?

Money.. Power.. That's why (In my opinion).. I really don't trust any politician... ESPECIALLY DEMOCRAT!!! I'd believe George W over any Democrat(except Toby Keith). Republicans are starting to do it also. Although I have taken a liking to Fred Thompson. You are not the only one who feels the way you do. Most Americans are sick of the B.S from politicans. I know I am. So therefore I read and research, and I vote accordingly.

I don't think it's possible to practice national politics without being an excellent liar. Like many things such a skill can be used for better or worse.
It has been apparent for some time that Hillary will most likely take the nomination. Obama may as well take chances, that's probably the only hope he has.

I think that some politicians are really honest, but get trapped into questions which are dilemmas, that is to say, no matter what they answer, it cannot be true.

I think most of them start out that way, then are sucked into the high pressure arena of power, money and greed. Unfortunately, those evils often eclipse whats best for the city, state, or nation.

lol, you don't think that all politicians say what they think people want to hear. Romney will double the size of Guantanamo, Giuliani will cut taxes and reduce the deficit while he expands the "war on terror," Hillary will give $5000 to each child.
Obama's promises, are in fact, far more realistic.

You answered you own question. If politicians were honest, you would not vote for them.

Would you like them if you knew their exact agenda was in nobody's interest but their own?
Also, skin color is irrelevant.
