george is an idiot who thinks money solves all problems. he thinks he can will anything to happen , but in reality the better team won.

George has been like that since he bought the team, and anybody that works for the Yankees knows that, Torre more than any other manger, Torre is a native New Yorker. Steinbrenner wants to win, and in NY 2nd doesn't count for anything, you either win the World Series or you had a bad year, no between. You get no points for effort, playoffs are meaningless unless you win the World Series. I'm not saying that's good, bad, or indifferent, but that's the facts of NY, and not just the for Yankees or sports, but any industry, and field, any profession, you are either number one or go someplace else.

Torre did not make this season into a long joke. that was Cashmen and his inability to make a 200 million dollar payroll with quality pitchers on it.
When I heard that broad say "Roger is in George's box!" I wanted to vomit! Cashmen should be fired before Torre, Torre is a proven winner and did something amazing by turning the Season around like he did this year. If you gave Torre just the Starting Pitchers from the stinking White Sox, he would win the World Series this year.
