Hate is such a harsh word! I don't think we need hate! Love is a natural feeling and we don't need hate to know what love is! So no, I don't think they go hand in hand!

There is definitely a thin line between the two just like pleasure and pain.I think both hate and pain need to exist as it enhances the feeling of love and pleasure.

almost . although they express opposite ends there is a very thin line between the two oftentimes.
an expression of hatred for one previously loved by the same is essentialy one and the same emotion tarnished by actions and events.
where there is love and hate there has to be passion which is why they lie close together on the emotional scale .

no. hate is the polar opposite of love. And love is defined best in the Bible. Love is patient, kind, etc. 1 Corinthians 13, I believe.

Yes they do. If you really love something, you must hate the opposite, and vice versa. It's hypocritical not to. For example, if you love free speech, you must hate censorship etc.

Either one may rear its head from time to time, but under different context and issues. But it's not possible to feel both love and hate in the same time/space continuum.

Have you ever heard the song "When love and hate collide", from Def Leppard? It just happens the same: they are opposite to each other.
