Yes....and because I feel embarrassed I try to deflect it by saying 'no, you don't mean it'. Stupid I know, but I find it hard to accept praise.

Yeah, especially in public by strangers. Not excessively though. It's kind of unnerving when complete strangers walkup to you out of the blue and inform you that you are "hot". Gives me the heebie jeebies.
And I also get compliments on my grades.

I actually do; not excessively...
but I usually get it coincedentially when I'm started to feel a little down.
Also I sometimes don't even realize when I'm being complimented...but yeah.

Yup ;) my gf compliments me everyday that i look sexy & ppl compliment me for my car cuz they find it stunning..so yeah ;) I do get complimented often do u?

Yes usually about my appearance - it would mean much more to me to be complimented on my heart and/or personality.

Not that often, but enough to build up my self-esteem. My neighbor told me I was "smart" and my boyfriend told me I was "sexy" and someone at work told me I was totally "non-stuckup." All in the past week. I think the biggest ones are from my cats, they want to be with me all the time.
