A few years ago we ran out just as three "trick or treaters" came to the door.
Not knowing what kind of tricks they had up their sleeves, I gave them some pop sickles that had been the freezer for about six months.
It worked. I told them to eat them first.
For the next two years I had three trickers asking for pop sickles.
