Beckham is a product of the new world of football....marketing and spin doctors....he wasn't the greatest player skillfully and never had any pace...his effort was never questioned though...
Gazza was from the days of real footballers, no autobiographies at the age of 25 and he was amazing to watch...does anyone remember that goal against the haggis lovers in euro 96? best goal i've seen england score in my memory! Of course the second best goal I've seen England score was Beckhams free kick against Greece...You couldn't have made the timing of it more perfect.
I'll just leave you on this...Beckham was good but Gazza was amazing and he was probably hungover and munching on a kebab at the half time.

Beckham any day. That guy has some serious football in his blood. He's just in the news for all the wrong reasons. Have seen very few people with a long ball as accurate as his

its not even a competition, Gascoine was one of the best players this world has ever seen and that goal against scotland in euro 96 sums him up genius beckham would not be good enough to clean gazzas boots. long live gazza.

Gascoigne, could have and should been the best all round footballer we have ever produced and one of the best in world football, i know beckham used to receive votes for world footballer, but realistically he wasnt fit to tie zidanes boots, gazza could have been a match for zidane, if he wasnt a complete pratt, shame

gazza, was more of a joy to watch, could ghost past players, score and create goals.
becks was good, had a few good qualities such as creating space, scoring free kicks with his dealy right foot and also showed great determination and pride when playing for england but I still think gazza would be slightly more beneficial than becks

Gascoigne,as far as i'm concerned, only Scholes and possibly Gerrard match him in terms of ability for English midfielders in the last 15-20 years.

gascione was a made footballer, beckham had a natural talent.
becks before posh ruined him as a footballer, and gazza before danny mills introduced him to stardom.

Gascoigne, much more skillful, and he could strike a free kick and cross a ball as well
