ignore the above.

Ok here goes...

The Core pack DOESNT come with a hard drive so you would need a 64meg memory card around £25.
it comes with wired controller, av cable.. Comes with silver Xbox live membership which can be used to download demos and chat online. Xbox live gold starts from 14.99 for 3 months etc. Console Priced around £179

The Premium pack comes with 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, headset, ethernet cable, Componant Cable and a month of Xbox Live Gold membership (online play). Console priced Around £249

The Elite Comes in Black. Comes with 120GB hard Drive, black wireless controller, black headset, ethernet cable, 1 month xox live gold (online play) ALSO it has a HDMI output so you will get best picture and sound on a HD Ready tv. Console Priced around £299

In long run the Premium or Elite are better value.

I own the Premium (20gb) and 20gb is enough for anyone. But if your gonna download videos when they come avalible next year on marketplace. go for the elite.

All 3 Play Dvds Region 2 (europe) also CDs

Hope this helps :D

Core Console: Comes with the bare esentials to play games and watch Dvd's, it comes with 1 wired controller and all the cables, (you will need to buy a memory unit seperatly)

Premium Console: Comes with everything you need to game, it comes with a 12gb hard drive, a wireless controller, and all the cables, a Xboxlive headset.

Elite Console: Comes with everything the premium console has, with some changes, it has a better fan and a massive 120gb hard drive, aswell as being in black.

All Xbox360 consoles play dvd's but if you want to play HD dvds then a HD dvd drive is needed which are, £60 - £80.

Hope this helped and happy gaming

The Premium and Core I do not recomend as they have a chance of the "Red Ring of Death" error and you'll have to take it to be repaired.

The Elite is by far the best deal since you get a Controller, 120GB HD (The Premium is only 60) a Headset, Controller, and 1 month of Xbox Live. It's also HDMI ready

Yes DVDs can be played on the system with out remote and it also supports HD DVD format. Microsoft also has a movie download service online.

I agree with the above.

The problem with the original 360 (the white one) is the build quality was poor and quality control is shocking.

The machine has a ring of 4 lights which indicate various problems, all 4 lights on (called ring of death) indicates a major hardware failure.

The very fact they put these 4 lights on sort of tells you they were half expecting problems but LOADS of them have had problems (i.e. the ring of death) with one dealer saying that of his entire stock he'd had 100% failure rate!!!

Microsoft brought out the elite as a 'sorted out' model with supposedly more robust componets, better reliability but what haven't they recalled all the existing machines to help the current owners first?
I know of one guy whose had 3 and the current one had died a death too!

For their lack of customer care and a lack of interest where the current machines are not working, Microsoft don't deserve your business, just DON'T buy one.
Where is the commitment to existing customer who paid £250 for a lump of electronics that seems to only work well as a small table lamp?

Go for a playstation3, better graphics, a blu-ray player, etc, etc, etc and most of all very reliable.

core come without hard drive. premium comes with hard drive(20gb) and the elite is different colour and comes with even bigger hard drive(60gb i think) and they will all play dvds just fine. you can buy extra stuff to play blu ray and what not but they play normal dvds just fine.

the difference is that one is heavier and easier to hit OAPs with, whilst the other is slightly lighter and you can hit small furry animals with it without any trouble really.
