Yes there is a difference between law and justice. And DEFINATELY NOT! the law does not always deliver justice.
Justice, to different people, may mean different th ngs. There is no way for the law to accomodate all those people.

For example: (GOD FORBID) A man is on trial for the death of another manl. The family believe justice is to kill the man. The law does not beleive this as most of the world has eliminated the death penalty.
The law can not always deliver justice. Im definately not saying that killing the man would be justice!! please dont misundertsand me. but in the eyes of the family it is.

And also, a rich guilty man may be able to afford the best lawyer in town, however a poor innocent man may not be able to. Is this justice. of course not. but the law allows it to happen.

hope i made sense.

Law dosent deliver justice all the time because 1st of all law is the reason why there is corruption, unfairness and death. And on the other hand its also the people's fault cause they keep on disobeying the laws that the government or any person states. Another one, law also delivers justice in a way that the person that has the right to experience justice obey and follow's the laws. =)

From my point of view:

Law, most likely the set of rules or standard to control people.

Justice, is more on how to execute punishment/award in synch with the Law or to execute the Law.

Law doesnt deliver justice all the time.. instead its still studied based on cases and how about if there is no similar cases to review with? Law can only prolonged Justice. but still we need Law as it sets the basic protection for humanity.

Law is carved in stone(paper). Justice is opinion.
Example: The "Three Strike Law".
Someone's on parole after two strikes. They haven't had a job in awhile because the previous infractions make them undesirable in the workforce. With their stomach growling, they snatch a candy bar and get caught.
Mandatory Life.
Justice or Law?
I'd say Law.

Law - A guideline that applies to everyone under it no matter which race, religion or troubles you have.

Justice - A decision based on all the facts not just a guideline created to cover everything.

Law is supposed to be imposed to the letter but justice is usually favorable to the rich and powerful people. In law, there is equality but not in justice because it is tilted to favor whoever is influential.
