Ronald Reagan said this during his 1980 Presidential debates with Jimmy Carter, regarding the economy:

"A recession is when your neighbour loses his job; a depression is when you lose yours. And recovery will be when Jimmy Carter loses his."

Lol, what do you think - classic Ronnie quote! :p

Classic, classic, classic. Here's another one: Nancy and I were discussing this very thing last night, and what we came up with and seem to agree on is, gun control is being able to hit your target!

And how about this one: The scariest thing I ever heard a man say was I'm from the government and I'm here to help you.

And this one: Mr. Gorbachev, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL.

My favorite Reagan quote was...."I refuse to exploit, for political purposes, my opponents youth and inexperience".
Spoken at a debate between Mondale and Reagan.
As for the quote mentioned above on recovery happening when Jimmy Carter loses his job.....who cares if he used a former Presidents line? You Liberals are just pissed because it ended up being true!

My favorite!!!

I like it. Here's another one:

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

Ok - since it was actually Harry S Truman (except for the tacky bit about Carter obviously - pity Reagan couldn't live up to that promise presiding over the two highest years of unemployment in this country since WW2) we have established that Ronnie is a plagiarist and/or that his fans are uneducated.
