I think it is better to get more stars - since people that star tend to think about your question more
too many people answer without thinking and even though it is nice to get alot of answers, it is a shame if you want a proper answer to your question...

stars..shows interest. people can just put any old crap as an answer..plus i dont think you can get points from more answers

Personally I like more answers. I normally don't ask very thought provoking questions anyway so I look at a star as someone who likely thinks the question is funny and that is the goal with most of the questions I ask, humor. I'm basically here for the entertainment so the more answers I get, usually the more humor I find.
Once in a while I do ask a question on the more serious side and I think I get good answers to them along with sarcastic answers but I love those too! I think this is a good question and I am giving you a well-deserved star for it!

If you have more stars, then more answers can come about because people notice your question. However unless you get a lot of stars, it's probably just good to get lots of answers.

earning more stars is a skill....
answering more and more wud earn u points but how worthy r ur answers r defined by the stars u earn....if and only if the asker is satisfied with ur answer, r u able to earn stars and so answering alone doesnt earn u nething but points, which might not need to be a answer which the asker is really wanting to know from u....
