Ok, I have been playing Chrono Trigger, for the PS1, for a while now, and I've made it to the final chapter "The Fated Hour", and I have completed almost every single side quest that is given in The End of Time, however, there are two that I do not get.
1. The "Loftly Knight" quest, I know I have to do something with Toad (Glenn) to save the knight (Cyrus) who was slayed by Magus (Magus... like you didn't know that); however, I'm completely stumped, and this is why:
-If I fight Cyrus, nothign happens, I can not harm him and after 6 attacks, the fight ends.
-Neither magic, physical, nor dual attacks harm him, no matter how powerful they are.
-No matter what, if I run into him, we fight.
-If I go the other direction, even in 600 A.D., it's just a dead end.
-If I go to 600 A.D. and go down the path that Cyrus blocks in 1000 A.D., I fight monsters that only magic can harm, however, even when I beat them, nothing happened.
I'm stumped.
I'll talk about #2 after I post this.

2. "One of you is close to someone who needs help, find them... fast" (Yes, I memorized that one.)
I know that this has something to do with the quest in which Lucca returns to the past, 990 A.D., and saves her mother, and I succeeded in this little event and even got that piece of amber that Robot gives Lucca right after the event is complete; however, I don't know what to do. I've tried talking to her mother, her father, Melchoir (hey, you never know, he's helped with a lot of other quests *shrug*), and even Cyrus (though the answer is ALWAYS the same with that guy "Aaargg! Gl... len... Gle...nn... Glenn!... H-huh? G-l-e-n-n? Aaargg!", ugh, he gives me a headache...)
This one has a steady chain of events, however, it just breaks off there and you have to look all over the universe to find the missing link... which I can not find...
Any and all help will be appreciated, I want to beat this game correctly, after all!

Ok, now that I have completed the "Loftly Knight" side quest, how do I complete the other one?

And finally, I know that the best way to fight Lavos is by using Epoch, but what if I go into the Black Omen? Will that ALSO lead me to Lavos?

For Cyrus you must go to present year. go to the same place but do not enter the castle. go to the carpenter house and pub to borrow the tools. then go to 600 Ad to get the job done.

Its been a while since I've played this game so I'll answer to the best of my ability
in 600 A.D. (Maybe it was 1000) theres a carpenter in the town nearby the ruins, he offers to repair the flooring if you clear all the monsters. It may take several trips. Once All the floors are repaired I think Cyrus disapears agiving you access to his grave (Getting you frog's best weapon)

If i were you i would download a walkthroo it would be allot easier
