One day a father tells a 3rd Grade student to study well.
The boy asks (B) : “daddy why should I study” ?
Father (F) : Son if you study now you will be happy when you grow up like me
(B) : “daddy why should I study” ?
(F) : Son if you study now you get a big job like mine
(B) : “Daddy why should I work” ?
(F) : “When you work, you will get money”
(B) : “Daddy why I need money” ?
(F) : “When you have money you can buy whatsoever you want”
(B) : “then” ?
(F) : “Be happy”
(B) : “If so daddy why are you not happy. Why mummy is not happy.” ?
Father realizes that the child has asked him a great question which he is not able to answer. Father too realizes that he forgot to be happy in life. He also realized that when you have children around, make sure they realize that you are happy. This would make them to do wonders.

In the stressful life, we are behind better job, better salary, better house; better car and the list go on. But what we don’t understand that in achieving all these we have forgotten to be happy. Please be happy from now on, after you read this. . I am very happy to share this with you all.

I am happy for the most part but hey I don't think we r all gonna be happy all the time. There are times when I am sad and extemely upset. But happiness lies in how u overcome those sadness to move on to enjoy the rest of the life. I sometimes see people cry over i bad score they get in a test. Regreting about it isn't gonna get to anywhere. I guess a person can truely find happiness when he/she tries to find a way to overcome the sadness of life. Because none of our lives r perfect in any way.
So overall I am happy, just little upsetting situations here and there. I try to as happy as possible though.

Yes I am happy, but not because of working or money, I'm happy because I appreciate the things that are more important to me in life. Such as friends, family, laughter, and those good memories that we always forget. Live life to the fullest cause it too short to be depressed, no matter bad of times can be!

Deep inside of me there is a layer of happiness and peace... Although there are times when temporary circumstances and events cause heartache and misery, this layer rarely seems to be disturbed... Great story, Gentleman... (however - one cannot remember to be happy -feign happiness... he/she either is or is not happy)... That is why I always ask my students and younger relatives what do you want to DO when you grow up; not what do you want to BE... People confuse materialism and success with happiness... These status symbols bring comfort and an emotional false armor, not true happiness...

I don't consider myself to be a happy person right now. The only thing that will make me happy is for my husband to be healthy and feeling better and back home with me and our kids instead being so sick in hospital.

Nope.. I am far from being happy! It's going to take a lot of work but, I need to be on my own to do this. I am the only person in this world that will make me 100% complete and content. I've known this for years, and years but, trully corned, it feels. Life will be ok once I make it ok.

hmmm...i'd say im relatively happy...i have people who love me..i am in good health...i am able to afford some luxuries in life...some people are not happy because instead of counting their blessings they only see the things that are missing from their lives...these are the kinds of people who will never be truly happy because they will always want more and will never be satisfied with what they have...this often happens to people who are materialistic and do not know that the true meaning of happiness lie in other things like great relationships, friendships, health, etc.

I'm basically a happy person..I've had my ups and downs in my life..But haven't we all?..But then again , that's life!
I try to look at that same glass, and even though it's not filled to the top, at least it's not empty either..it kind of stays in the middle..Which is okay..
However, I certainly wouldn't mind winning that big lotto..lol

It's really good and in future i will take care that our child should not say that why we are not happy and i should suggest him / her proudly that you should study hard to get happiness in life. Thanks for sharing this.
I lost everything and now going to start a new life by leaving old bad memories, I AM HAPPY.

I am happy but reading that thought with what the child was asking really makes a good point to make us think twice if we feel that we aren't that happy. Thanks for sharing.
