I want to Plant plain willow trees (quick shade for the dogs)..bring them home and put in the ground or jar of water...in the ground water daily(weeping willows and basically all willows love water) and also you dont need any special soil preparation..in no time at all the root will sprout and the tree will start growing, but I dont know inMumbai climabte it will grow (Tropical Climate)

Strip off lower leaves so they don't rot and stink in the water. You should see roots in a week.
Tropical climate - you can grow anything.

You cannot kill a willow! Stick the branch in to the ground, keep it damp, it will root and you will have a new tree. Good luck
