US must already withdraw from Iraq and let the Iraqis run their own government administer their oil industry.

No. We are not in a state of war in Iraq.

The Iraqi 'war' ended in 2003 once we toppled the government. Ever since, we have been in the 'reconstruction phase'. Btw, war is still war... and throughout history, a reconstruction phase is still the same. The difference today is that Bush is still calling it a war and the media is still broadcasting it as such. Historians 100 years from now will not though.

Blackwater is simply an agency hired as a security firm to help the troops 'play police' during this reconstruction. Iraqis have every right to want them dumped. Once you 'reconstruct' a new govt then you have to hand over power and rights... they have had this right ever since the Iraqis voted in their own new govt and a constitution.

To handle this, I would have personally handed the black water employee who got drunk and shot the Iraqi vice president's body guard over to the Iraqi goverment and let them hang him.

It's cold, but it would get the US of the hook, it would save the Iraqi goverment face and would give lack water a clean slate and scare those mercs straight and continue to stay on the straight and narrow.
