THanks Elmina, but I checked the Aust. Post website and they seem to have limits of 20kg and 105cm. I'll call them in the morning to make sure. Oz auctions seems to send them by Post for $95 Melbourne-Sydney.

I sold a double pram on ebay which was too big to post. I am in Sydney and buyer in Brisbane. She got a courier to pick up from our door an deliver to her to her for about $50. The charge was based on weight not size but it needed to be boxed. Go down to a local smash repair shop as they get car parts delivered in boxes and then just throw the box away so thats a great way to get a free massive box.The company was Virgin I think...

If too big for the post office, get one of the parcel express companies to take it. The most expensive is for them to pick it up at your place and deliver it to the address at the other end - door to door. The cheapest way is for you to take it to the G Coast depot and have it offloaded at some depot in Syd where the recipient picks it up - depot to depot. You can also do depot to door and door to depot. Price is by weight.

Be sure you have the weight before they pick up or see it weighed at the depot. Keep the consignment note and let the recipient know what the charge and weight was.

I had a big problem with a carrier over an 18kg package that somehow grew to 80kgs and since I did not have the consignment note it was a problem. (They are no longer in business but I am so ner. )

Another possibility is to ask if one of the bus companies will take it - they some times do. Pack well.

If it is digital, can't you just attach it to an email?
