Making Charcoal?

Is there any other way other than the barrel method? I'm still unclear on how that is done... Can anyone tell me how to make charcoal accurately? Is there a way to make it on an electrical STOVE? Any feedback would be great!

there is no other way to make charcoal it is done in the earths crust by the method of destructive distillation
