I used to feel sorry for myself all of the time. Then once I had kids, I realized how selfish that is. I need to worry about them and teach them good self esteem. I do take care of myself first, because I can't take care of them if I'm falling apart. I have been on anti depressants for two years, and that has helped a lot. I think it is mind over matter for the most part, but sometimes you really do need a medical intervention.

Not very often, If I do is usually do to being exhausted. The best way for me to cope is to rest, exercise and be social. I have a lot of loving and caring friends but when I start to feel down I "hide" from everybody. So, I have to make an effort to balance things out so I can feel good.

i have no need to feel sorry for myself. I've accomplished more in my lifetime than most folks ever will travelling and staying in various places all over the world, meeting new people and friends (that i consider family), finding the love of my life, accomplishing everything i've set out to do, a family that loves and supports me despite where i am. A roof over my head here, at my fam's place and at my loves place as well...no i could never feel sorry for myself.

I never feel sorry for myself. I've made my choices. I'm dealing with the consequences. There's no one else to blame.

almost never do i sit and feel sorry for myself. i cope with things as they present themselves, and find solutions for or gain wisdom from my mistakes. allowing oneself to become depresessed is to accept defeat, and unacceptable to myself.
it would seem some of us got thumbs down for holding positive mental attitudes. how very ironic, and sad for those who CHOOSE to be so lacking in self esteem!
