Yes, I hand wash them. I see nothing wrong with reusing them. After all, we wash and reuse metal silverware and porcelain cups the same way. For those who think this is not hygenic, do you throw out plastic plates and plastic food storage containers after each use?
In my own home, I can't remember when I did not use plastic spoons, knives, forks and plastic cups. I have saved so many of them over the years that I don't think I will ever run out of them.
At my girlfriends place, she uses plastic spoons, knives, forks and plastic cups just once and then throws them away. So she never has to wash them.

Just let go! The point of plastic silverware is so that you can just throw it away. Keep that in mind next time you pull some out, and don't even stop to think about it when you pitch it in the trash - just do it.

I go 50/50..Depending on how tired I am at the end of the night I throw them away. If I know I'm going to have a lot of company I will wash them so they can be reused.
But thats life!

I use them a lot because my kids HAVE to get a new fork or spoon every time they change to a different side dish and I don't want to wash five hundred peices of silver ware. But then I feel bad about the environment, and sometimes I will wash them.

no the whole reason there plastic is because you throw them out when your done using them. But why would you buy them to use in your house? Washing dishes isn't that bad...if u absolutely hate it...get a dish washer

Hmm ... my grandma always does, I do occasionally ...
But not always.
I work at McDonalds ... we wash out plastic cups that got the wrong drink in them or fell on the floor instead of throwing them away like paper cups because they cost more!

Yes, my friend, I do most of the time.
I have a large family (brothers & sisters, etc), and once a year we have a family reunion, we use plastic there and then wash it so we can use it again and again, til it breaks and we have to throw it away.

Lol. That is so true. However, I'm limited to just the plastic cups. And only if it's one that I've been drinking out of. I
tend to save one for my own personal use. Peace.

NO, I hate that...lol. Throw them away or use real ones! But I really just use paper plates. The other is only at Christmas we have a HUGE family.
