I get annoyed lately, especially at always low prices store, the chips are in the impossible to open packaging anyway, but we have to wait for a cashier to unlock memory cards and such to purchase one. That means if there are 9 customers in line, which there usually are, they go first. Are you having similar problems at large stores also?

you would be surprised at the level of theft in retail stores in the U.S. these days. i work for a national cellular carrier and our store has been hit for at least $1000 so far this month.

you cant be mad about the level of security that the retailers show these days. my store has locks on memory cards and phones and although i would love to keep things easily accessible (i work on commission, so every second that i waste opening the lock on a memory card means that im missing a commissionable sale), its just the state of the retail business... as long as we have people unethical enough to steal what they cant pay for, security will not get easier... inventory shrink is a big problem...

Light fingered shoppers and diminished staffs have raised royal havoc with retail businesses. Hopefully, it wont't get worse before it gets better.

No, that's where I usually break into my "Don't cry for me Argentina" rendition. That usually clears the place pretty quickly.
