The question is NOT how you feel about Houston or Miami. the question is about the Houston player (I forget his name) after he taunted an unconscious Trent Green and stepped over his head while he was down after the play.

this is how I feel:

I think that the Houston player was grossing inappropriate for taunting Green like that. Especially stepping over his head. When you see a player that is unconscious on the field you know that something is not good with that.

The houston player claimed that he was angry because he thought Green was trying to hurt him by going low. this is not the case and he knows it he is only trying to cover up his actions after he did that to an unconscious player. His block was not illegal because he did not intentionally try to hurt the houston player.
the Houston player is garbage and should be traded to the New Orleans Saints next year so he can play with the rest of the garbage in the NFL.

Josh: I see what you are saying and if that was all it was then I would have accepted it like you did. Unfortunately, Johnson saw the man get carted off the field and that is never good. So after the game why was Johson still talking trash?

And BTW I was not rooting for the Saints last year because I know that no matter how good a football team does doesn't mean that FEMA or whatever is going to work harder or faster to help new orleans. They can win a super bowl and FEMA will still be moving at a snails pace down there. Also it won't take back the fact that it all could have been avoided in the first place. But that is for another argument and category in answers wouldn't you say.

He's a stupid thug. He must be from one of those Florida thug teams. Most people on here don't seem to know that it was a legal block. Nothing wrong with what Green did.

Trent looked dead, and he very well could have been dead with his neurological history and a hit of that force from the knee to the head. Wonder how he'd feel then....

It wasn't a clean hit by Green, but you could see Green was just falling, he didn't mean to take his knees out. Bad hit, had a right to be mad, but Green was clearly motionless on the ground, taunting an unconscious man is inexcusable.

He had been on the ground motionless for 5-10 seconds before he even started taunting him, and the taunt lasted 5 seconds. Those who say he didn't know what he was doing are clueless..

Wow, I didn't see that, but I'm a Chiefs fan so I remember how mad I was at Robert Geathers last year for apparently hitting him after he slid. That's pretty disgusting for someone taunt an unconscious player that way. And if I had seen it, I would have been super pissed off. In my days of watching football, Trent was the best QB KC ever had. You'd have to look long and hard to find a nicer more likable QB in the league than him. He's a first class person and I hope he recovers from his injury without long term effects. And for the sake of his health and future, I hope he considers retirement as this is his 2nd one in just a little more than a year. Gettin in that danger zone a little bit.

Dear RKS,

i think Johnson looks like a bully and jerk in this whole incident because Trent Green is a QB. He threw a pick and i think it took a lot of courage for a QB to try to lay a block on someone that outweighs him easily by over a 100 lbs. i think Green went low because when your trying to tackle or block someone that much bigger than you that's what you got to do. Trent Green has a classy enough reputation in the league where he's probably not the type of guy who will take a cheap shot at a knee. He was just being a leader!!!

i think he should definetly be fined and possibly suspended for a game or so.

The Houston player (identity irrelevant) showed no class what-so-ever. I think the league should consider fining him for taunting/un-sportsman-like behavior. I read his ignorant statement comparing Green to the Scarecrow from Oz. The idiot did'nt know it was the Lion in search of courage. As for the player claiming Green "went for his knees", Green is a QB, they're not famous for using "proper" blocking techniques. Big bad knuckle-dragger feel better taunting an un-concious player?

I'm going to post what I wrote in another like topic.

"I think that Johnson had a legitimate reason to be upset with Green. I think that in the moment, he was upset and didn't realize the severity of Green's injury and reacted out of anger. I believe that if he had known just how hurt Green, was he would not have acted in the way he did.

I have to admit, when it happened and I saw it unfold, I was pissed at Johnson. I took the time to realize that at the time, even though Green was motionless, Johnson was just showing frustration and didn't even realize the injury. I'm 100% sure that if Johnson had known how bad Green was hurt, he would not have acted in the same matter. I don't think he is that much of a sociopath so as to tell off an incapacitated person. That just goes against human reason. Even though it happens day after day, 99% of people don't have that kind of feeling and for my own personal well being, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt."

I think that Johnson is shuddering right now at the thought of what he did now with the knowledge of Green's injury. I honestly believe that he feels sick at the idea that he taunted an incapacitated player (unknowingly).

The comment about New Orleans is a bit unwarranted and inflammatory. We were all rooting for New Orleans last year after Katrina.

Jett: It WASN'T clear to Johnson who wasn't watching it or had instant replay right away. All he knew was that a block was laid to him that could have ended his career and he was livid. You don't get the armchair luxury on the field. And just because a player is laying there doesn't mean they are seriously injured.

This was unfortunate on all sides. I dislike both teams, and I see this as just an unfortunate incident with one player happening to get injured on a stupid block and another getting portrayed as a monster for reacting in the immediate moment from the adrenaline of having a cheap block laid on you.

It's bad all around, and no one is to blame really.

I wish people would use reason more instead of emotion. Why yell at an unconscious player? Unless you are unaware that he is unconscious. It's not like he had been laying there for 10 minutes. He had just been hit and this was right after the play...he may have just been knocked senseless..which happens in a physical game.

Be reasonable people. You may have acted the same in the moment and then regretted how you acted...but it was on video for everyone to replay and post Yahoo! comments on.

After watching the replay I think that Trent Green's attempted block was very careless and could have ended in 2 injuries instead of the one. The Houston player had a right to be upset however the way he acted was inappropriate but what do expect from players nowaday?

I can excuse the taunting right after the play, with the emotion and adrenalin going and what Johnson thought was a cheap shot, but after wards in the interview, I think he was way out of line. He had time to compose himself, he knew the extent of Greens injury and his history with head injuries. Regardless of how he truly felt, there is a certain professionalism that has to take over. Not to continue to talk trash. The whole situation is unfortunate.

typical no class guy that the league seems to be full of this year, he needs to be fined and suspended it was embarassing for his team and franchise the hit was legal and who would expect a qb to go head on with a d-lineman it would be suicide. how many times have you seen dbs going low on running backs? like always the block was legal and the big punk shouldent complain hes an idiot

while the guys conduct post game was in appropriate i do gotta see i feel where he was coming from. first off green always slow to get up so how was he to know he was knocked out. second off i don't pity green at all he did this on to himself. he went low he went helmet to knee. if he would have hit the guy from the side or back of knee would u be saying anything as guy had season ended with complete mcl acl tears. doubt it. he had every right to be angry, always hated it when rec blocking me would go low to knees. they protect every player out there to such a degree but what are they doing for big mans knees look next weekend almost everyone one both o and d line got a brace now a days and had off season surgery to reconstruct the knee. putting a helmet on a big mans knee same as stepping on a wide outs hand or QB shoulder. btw everyone should stop crying for green with all the research out there he knows he one head injury away from being a veggie yet he choose to go low with the helmet. hopefully though doesn't sound like it he learn and retire now next time may not be as lucky look at aikman and young, hell listen to them they both where saying how after the major concussions every lil hit to head caused problems.
