Hmm. . . Just out of curiosity. . . Is A-Rod gonna leave the Yankees? I mean, if so, what good of a team will they be? Lol.

I do no know if he will leave, my hunch is he will, even though I think Steinbrenner will ofter him what he wants. My hope is he leaves, I never liked him coming to the Yanks to begin with. I always thought that money should be spent on pitching.
The Yanks Payroll was $188,000,000 this year, between A Rod, Giambi, Matsui, Abreau (of the 4 players I mentioned, he's the best of the bunch), Mussina, Clemmens, and most of the bull pen (Mariano aside), there salary is about $120,000,000. I say get rid of all of them (not Mariano), fee up that money and spend most of it on starting and relief pitching, and the balance of good, but not expensive, defensive players. History has always shown it's great pitching and great defense that wins games, not the guy hitting 45+ homers, not the guys batting .300+. Get a bunch of guys hitting between .275 - .300 that are great defensively with great starting and relief pitching and you will have a team impossible to beat.

He will opt out of his contract. He wants $30 mil a year because he is greedy. The Yankees should let him go and split his salary between a new 3B and 2 or 3 relievers. A-Rod is a loser despite his individual stats - he has never played on a championship team.

I think so. I think he's had his fill of being a Yankee.

One thing is for certain : nobody in their right mind can pin the Yanks' loss to Cleveland on him. He did all he could against a very solid pitching staff.

He'll probably go to the Cubs and play for Lou Pinella. He'll hit tons of HRs. there and maybe even help them win a Series!

I think he might leave, he wants a world series ring(lol).
Who ever gets him will PAY, or he just might go after the almighty dollar and might not care about the ring!
