yes because u leave the materialistic objectives of ur job and do some social good.
that being said, people can do social good through their job like teachers, doctors or even a musician by inspring the listener.
so, it should not be mandatory.

It's not only good for the community, it's good for your own spirit. It makes you feel awesome knowing that what you have just done (of your own free will) will really help someone who needs it.---------It's also perfect for people that are sentenced to community service. I think making them get out there and do some work is way better than the tax payers paying for their stay in jail/prison. Or if they do go to jail, they should definitely get out there and do something for good.

Yes I do. High & mighty people need to be brought down to reality to see how important doing things for the community is. In judge issued circumstances, people who receive CS usually don't care about the little things around them.

over 200 hours volunteered at different kinds of hospitals
