Not at all.

I'm not the most optimistic of people, but I know that everything I've done or experienced has put me where I am It's all learning experience and does you good, no matter how sh1t some of it was.

Short, dumbed-down, but true example:

Was in a minor car crash.
Got compensation money.
Took a trip to the US with my friends, discovered that I liked travelling.
Went home a happy, well-adjusted bloke.
Met a girl.
She became girlfriend.
Had a rubbish job.
My dad suddenly died.
Went back to my job, was really low.
Girlfriend suggests going to teach English in japan- thought had never occured to me but I latch on to it.
Girlfriend gets a job in Japan months before me. After months of a long-distance relationship, we split.
Wheels already in motion to go to Japan, almost don't bother but family are very supportive so I went.
I now live in a great little town in Japan, meet loads of nice people, can speak a bit of Japanese, have a decent, very well paid job and a very cute Japanese girlfriend.

Things always have a knock-on effect, and, though not all of them are good, if you take away any of the elements, big or small, it'd change your whole life. Wouldn't change any of it.

No. You can't regret your pat because you can't change it. Everything happens for a reason. You must learn from any mistakes you make if want to grow as a person.

No.

I have made mistakes...even some very big ones. But, I have learned a great deal from them and I think that in the end, making them made me a better person.
