I am intuitive but don't consider it a gift. I can tell things about people by the way they speak, posture and body language. I've been told I'm this way because of certain negative events that occurred in my past. Usually my intuition picks up negative traits in people and that is why I don't consider it a gift. What are your comments?

ahh no i'm not like that....i'm blind from the truth most of the time....kinda the type that believes everyone you know?.....but i'm learning from my mistakes everyday! : )

Congrats, you really should be proud of yourself. Being intuitive takes a LIFETIME of work for some people. It is truly a gift, to be able to instinctively tell things about someone just by the way they talkk, act, body posture, sense of humor, etc.
You are very observant, a good psychiatrist, a good psychoanalyst, probably have a "sixth sense"...all these are rare and precious gifts. People go to college for a degree for this !!
Regardless HOW you got to be that way, it doesn't matter now. It made you more aware of people around you, which can help imensely in life, it will spare you a lot of pain in future relationships, it will shield you from heartbreak and money problems, too ! You are not naive like the rest of us, if you can spot a liar from a mile away! :)
So, even if people tell you that it's because of a negative past, well, that may be true, I don't know you, but painful experiences almost always make us stronger.
(People can be jealous of this, you know. I also have it. Try to get a job in the field, you'll see the satisfaction you get, knowing you maybe got a girl out of an abusive relationship, or something similar !) Don't worry; enjoy it to help others, warn them, shield them, and use it as a tool to guide you in life. I guarantee you will come out a winner.

i wish i could read people's body language or better. um hm not sure. what negative traits. like maybee. lol sorry this isn't a better answer. i guess if you can pick out bad people with your intuition that'd be good. but i guess a lot'd be depend on what negative traits 'cuz everyone has some negative traits right?

When genuine intuition does occur it can be both a blessing and a curse. Lots of times someones 'intuition' is merely a cultivated front they hide behind.

I to am the same way I can look or even talk to a person and tell what they are after or if they are up to something, Intuitiveness is a god

If such negative traits could harm you, I would consider that a gift. And if you were in a management position performing hiring, it would be important to pick up on negative traits, so again it would be a gift.

Yes, I think it's possible to be intuitive, it just means your'e sensitive. As long as your intuition doesn't come up with too many "bad" people, then it's good. Hopefully, you will find some good people in the world, too.

Definitely good! You'll always know when someone is trying to scam you and know not to believe them! (That's very valuable with things how they are today.) Just be careful not to rely only on your intuition, someone might come along and be bad, you might not pick up on it!

Intuition is a defence mechanisim. Its an offshoot of instinct and can be a result of previous experiences you have encountered or even your distant relatives.
Womens intuition is generally more powerful than man because it is a defence mechanisim

Yes, I do consider being "intuitive" as something good. I also believe it can be "fine tuned" into an ESP type of skill.

i think its a negative
cause intuition isnt always right
u might find the people that spark this intuition
arnt that bad
but ur feelings make you hesitant
im like this
i probly missed out on knowin a few good value folks
