For the odd night, it's probably fine. Sometimes you just need a break and baby needs a good sleep to improve his mood. My little guy naps in his swing 2 or 3 times a day. However I don't usually let him sleep in his swing all night if I can move him. Usually about a half hour after he has fallen asleep I will turn the swinging motion off and any noise, if he doesn't wake then I can move him pretty much where ever as he is zonked right out! However if he just wakes up and is extremely fussy and won't go back out even after making sure he is fed/burped/changed/warm enough and some cuddling then he goes back in the swing so that I can get some sleep and deal with him!

He will become dependent on that swinging motion to fall asleep. What will you do when he gets too big to sit in the swing to fall asleep? I don't know if it's "safe" but you are setting yourself up for a heck of a time in the future.

ok, in the beginning, remember - "This too shall bypass." My youngest son is what i like to call a "extreme maintenance infant" and he's amazingly fussy, so i will appropriate to what you're dealing with. I agree that 3 months is only a touch youthful to enable him cry it out, somewhat if he chokes. you have a pair ideas. the automobile seat isn't a foul thought for slumbering. If he's propped up at an perspective, then if he does throw up, it is going to circulate out, and not circulate into opposite his windpipe. you additionally can get your self a infant service and placed on him on the front and then prop your self in a great snug chair at an perspective. this manner you have not have been given any worry of him falling off or you rolling onto him. remember the area the place this might bypass? wish you detect some thing that works. On a miles less severe observe, in case you prefer to shoot for an epic parenting fail, you are able to continually attempt whiskey.

No I don't think this is safe and it will also cause problems for you as he grows older he will come attached to sleeping in his swing.
The MACH nurses in aus always advise to sleep them in a cot in a seperate room to you (if you have another room) from about 8 weeks, so they learn to sleep independtly and put themselves back to sleep and more importantly you too can get some sleep knowing they are safe

I do not think that you should leave him in the swing..babies can only sit up for so long and I do not think he will wake up if you gently pick him up and then settle him into his cot.

i don't think it is
it is the best and the only way for babies sleep in their own cot

you never know what's going to happen to your baby when both of you fall fast asleep

Well, yes, if the seat allows him to lay flat. And even if it doesn't, as a 3 month old, he won't be asleep that long anyways.. lol.. it should be fine. I understand your predicament completely, and I honestly think that if they're sleeping, and they're safe, then it doesn't really matter where they are.. don't wake them up.. =).

Also i dont think it would be good for his back. He should be sleeping on his back. so his spine will grow straight.
