Just wondering.
I find most couples if they adopt overseas it is mostly asian and a girl.
I would also assume that african boys are the least to be adopted due to the stereotypes that exist (they are violent)
why do you think this trend is so?

I think it has a lot to do with the adoption laws of the country. Some have stricter laws about the qualifications people must meet to be able to adopt a child from there. Some have more lenient laws...I saw a documentary once on a homosexual couple that was trying to adopt from a foreign country and they could only choose from certain ones that allowed it. So, I think some countries are just easier to adopt from.
I would say, from observation, that China must have pretty tolerant adoption laws. The reason that people usually get a girl (as opposed to a boy) is because baby girls are more likely to be abandoned in China due to their one-child rule and people prefer boy children. So, there are just more girls available for adoption.
I'm not sure if African boys are least likely to be adopted or not, I've never heard that. Never heard of the stereotype you mentioned either though.

LOL--there are PLENTY of US kids of every color and both sexes who go to bed every night without parents. Why not adopt them, I always wonder?

Maybe it has to do with adoption policies of the different countries and the personal preference on what you find to be cuter.

i never heard that. i've seen people adopt all different kinds of children from overseas. it shouldn't matter. they're all beautiful children in bad situations that need love from a real family

why does it matter as long as one persons life is changed for the better. someone will adopt another kid, and so on.

asian girls are known to be very respectful of their parents and more hardworking in terms of study than boys, trust me, I'm asian, thats what most people would think

It depends on the individual or the couple. maybe no one wants african or russian boys.
