i have a belkin wireless G router

It really depends on how much RF Interfernece you have in your home and between the Xbox and the router.

RF Interference can be walls, floors, ceilings, radios, microwaves, Cordless phones, cell phone and towers and of course other wireless networks in your general area.

You will have a excellent connection if you are in the same room, but beyond that it will drop in signal streangth depending on all those factors I mentioned above. Count on being good up to 50 feet or so........
