Do your research before you try ANYTHING at home. I had a similar problem a few years back, and I ended up selling a brand of cosmetics (I'm pretty sure I can't say by name) because it offered the highest profit/comission for the lowest initial investment.
There are several companies that do this - be sure you find one that is well-respected, has a history of success, and (big one) that you've heard of before! McLovin's Flybynight greased widget & toast sales wouldn't be a good bet. (Heaven help me if such a company exists!)
Good luck!

Sure. What you need is a niche market. I sold Victoria's Secret clothing on EBay. I got a reseller's license ($5) and a county license for selling tangible personal property ($11). Start an EBay store. Start small. Buy up wholesale lots online or from other EBay sellers and resell them. You can get start up cash by selling some things you already have on EBay, as well. You can make $100 a month - about $2K a month depending on how much effort you put into it. When you ship, ship on a certain date and use priority mail. The USPS picks up from your home. Another product that works and sells very well is designer cosmetics. But wholesale online and sell on EBay but don't buy wholesale lots on EBay, as these prices are more inflated. It also takes up much less room in your home. Also, don't buy into the scams on TV.

I work at home doing surveys and offers, and I make over 600 a week doing just that.
All it requires is time and patience, really. So that I won't breach the terms, I'll just tell you that I have a link on my profile to my favorite survey/offer sites.
Good luck with everything, and I hope you don't lose your house. That happened to me a few years back. :/

Well there's always babysitting, or doing laundry for people who don't have time, or cooking meals or desserts for people who can't cook or too lazy to cook. Also you coudl ask around if anybody need their house cleaned.
