ok im a big laker fan so of course ima be smashing on the celtics this year but the thing that makes me frustrated is that people be talking all that mess when 3 players kg,allen, and pierce. who cant even take there own team into the last spot in the playoffs try to team up and win a title in my opinion kg is an idiot for going to the celtics hes wasting hsi talent he could have gone to a WAY better team first of all paul pirce is trash he sucks allen is a pure shooter i think hes pretty good but there are WAY better sgnot to name any(kobe, wade) but all in all i dont think celtics will win a title and wont get past 4th spot and if they do think about it the east sucks so once they head inot the finals the est will smash them

Boston will be a decent team in 2007-2008, and, depending upon how injuries effect Allen, Boston could be a contender in 2008-2009 as it usually takes a NBA team about two years to rebuild. And, Boston is rebuilding from not much to begin with but could be a factor next year but not this season in my opinion.

Sometimes I wonder who is the bigger loser in this deal KG or the Timberwolves as Minnesota is a very fickle place when it comes to their sports franchises as shown by the Lakers after a number of NBA titles leaving Minneapolis with super star Elgin Baylor for L.A. to the Minnesota North Stars after a number of Stanley Cup Finals appearances moving to Dallas to constant rumors of the Twins, Vikings, and Timberwolves eventually leaving the state of Minnesota.

Regardless of what happens with the Timberwolves, Boston will be a better team in the future but just not in the NBA Finals in 2007-2008.

#1. That's fine if individually they can't get in the playoffs. But together they will.
#2 when you were thinking of a better team were you thinking of kobe? Cause talent wise, they'd have to trade away quite a few people to get KG so they wouldn't be better.
#3. Paul Pierce is an allstar, not sure why he's trash
#4. Yes there are better SG's than ray allen, that doesn't mean the teams with better shooting guys always win.
#5. They probably won't win a title but they'll definitely make it into the playoffs.
#6. your last statement is a great example about how you should calm down while typing and stop with all the errors. It just looks immature, but yes the west will beat them, but the west will beat every single team that the east sends.

i think the Celtics will definetly have a great shot- especially being in the East. i too am a Laker fan- but i'm more upset with the whole Kevin McHale giving Garnett basically for nothing to his buddy Danny Ainge- to screw the Lakers and then Larry Bird asking for the entire Laker front court for Jermaine O'Neal--- it's just crap!

Those three are a dangerous combo and as much as i hope they don't win a ring-- they are in a pretty good position too- especially because they have a decent amount of role players around them. Their team weakness right now is a point guard- so hopefully that'll lead to theire eventual downfall in the playoffs.

They go from the cellar to near the top- all because McHale hooked up his buddy...

Too bad Mitch Kupchak doesn't seem to have any buddies around the NBA...

Ish...

Go Lakers!!!

As a HEAT fan i dont want them to go nowhere hehe .... but sadly, i think they will matchup well as KG could go wid anyone in any team as he is not a selfish player and plays to win not to score .... Pierce is a high scoring guy who just knows how to score and so he will do his job as usual and while Allen who is a pure shooter will get loads of treys due to double teams on Pierce and KG sooo they look goooood ...... I dont think team chemistry is a problem for them according to their players but what i think will create a problem is their lack of supports as in the case KG is out due to foul trouble the whole inside would be empty and no one can score in the paint and then Pierce would shoot outside more and miss more and Allen wont be left alone to make any treys..... so i think they will go far for sure but not championship far

After watching their first game Saturday I can't wait for the season to start! They should win at least 50 games which should put them among the top 3 teams in the East.
Oh, and if you think Paul Pierce is trash then you aren't very good at judging NBA talent!

Put it like this I like KG and Ray Allen; I'll defend and thier behalfs PP he sucks but all-in-all if the Celtics can't win at least 55 games this sesaon they suck it's as simple as that KG should be putting up 20 plus and 13 boards. Allen 20 and shooting .450 three-point line and PP 20 himself they have 3 players that have a career avg of at least 20 or 22. I f that dosen't work out that would be the worst trade since Shaq

I think the celtics can make it to the playoffs but i think they will be at 6-8 place because they have no bench to fill the spots of their starters. yes they have a very impressive starting line-up but the big three can't carry the team for the whole year and every game. they will have what we call "burnout".

it's too early to tell really...but if you base on there three main players' talent i would say they have a good chance of making the playoffs or even the finals.

yes, individually KG, Pierce, and Allen have some problems but if each can compensate the other then collectively they can beat any team in the Eastern conference.

Well the east does suck..
Except for HEAT n Pistons...
They are not used to playing with each other.. In my opinion KG is an idiot for going to the Celtics..
I totally agree..
KG should of gone with someone like Kobe Bryant... that duo would of work out just perfect.
But KG had to be an idiot n go with Celtics..
As for Ray Allen he needs to stop hating on Kobe n do something else then shoot 3 pointers..
