I suggest Harvard. Apperantly you have a better chance of learning law in Harvard bcause Harvard has higher standards of education. If you are looking for a job that requires law, a degree in law from Harvard will give you a 60-70% chance of getting the job. But anyways.... heres a star for a good question. ^^

Even though U.S. law derived from the British Common Law system, both the legal system and the system of legal education is so different in the two countries that it is very difficult to make comparisons. Even the suggestion that one would "read" law is a meaningless concept in the U.S. Both Oxford and Harvard, of course, are wonderful universities, but I would think that an individual would need to decide where s/he wanted to practice law and study in that country. I took a comparative law course in the U.K., then got a law degree in the U.S., and I can't imagine that I would have been able to pass my local Bar exam if I had done my studies outside the U.S.

Please explain "better place to read law". Many have "read law" at colleges and universities other than Harvard and Oxford, and are successful attorneys, judges, teachers, businessmen/women.
