Say they offer you a 14 day free trial but you still have to give your credit card. there excuse is so you can have no disturbance after its like ill have a disturbance alright you knuckle heads will charge my card anyway. they act like you will like the service already when you try it. If you get offered something free you shouldn’t have to provide any financial data to anyone its supposed to be free i don’t consider that free i don’t like the hassle of having to call them up and canceling.

Totally agree,it always makes me nervous that i will forget to cancel the standing order etc. its so much trouble aswell to inform your bank etc.
Thats what these companys want us to do,ie.forget to cancel for at least a month,then they grab the money for doing nothing.

Yea, I never fall for that. If it is a free trial, then you owe them nothing, not even your numbers. They forget to tell you that your trial is almost up and charge you when it does run up. It is dishonest and should be illegal.
If you are willing to share what type of sites those are that you are going to by e-mailing me, I have some off-Answers advise about that.

The reason they want your credit card number is, even though it's a free trial offer, you still have to pat shipping & handling
charges.

Any time a free item is offered, but they still want credit information, I skip it. I know what they will do with all my information for credit cards and bank accounts.
