Yes, and its electrical cord under the sink is unplugged.
One day I turned it on. There was a nickel next to my sink. I inadvertently struck the nickel into the disposal. Instantly I hit the switch to turn it off, so the motor wouldn't blow. The nickel remained stuck between the blades of the disposal. One day I'll get a handyman to remove the coin.
For now, I have a plugged nickel in my garbage disposal.

Yes I do have a garbage disposal in my kitchen. I do use it too.

yes, but its a piece of crud....its easier just to throw away and take the garbage out to the dumpster
