Im so happy the whining yankee fans are silent tonight. Im by no means a baseball fan, but I surely love when overpaid and overrated athletes are beaten by guys that play with more heart, and less money. I wish I could see the look at that creep Steinbrenner's face.
It's amazing how these players regardless of how good or bad they play, still get paid all this money. I have a super idea........pay them at the end of the season based on their overall performance for the season. Derek Jeter, posada, Arod, Matsui, waaaaaaaaay overrated !

Boston woulda crushed the yankees anyway so maybe its best there done. Boston will easily win it all.

Funny how people always bash the Yankees! Is it jealousy?
Sure sounds like it. How many wins do the sweaty sox have? How many rings? How many championships?

After hundreds of years to none other than the Yankees....

Sure Yankee fans are bummed out, but the are still the greatest team out there and made baseball what it is. I grew up in LA and grew up a Dodger fan, but believe me, I KNOW Yankee's MEAN baseball like no other team!

SO go ahead with our little measly win....have fun bashing the Yankees....doesn't change the truth...Yankees are Champions forever! ...and Yankees mean baseball!

The Red Sox have a great shot of winning the series, if they make it to postseason. Not many teams could matchup with a healthy Schilling and Beckett, not to mention one of the best young pitchers in the game, Papelbond (sp?). And if Foulke can return to his old self they can move papelbond to the rotation, which gives them one of the best 1 2 3 punches in a 5 or 7 game series. The problem would be making the playoffs, which will be a challenge in their division, where the Yankees are loaded and watch out for the Blue Jays.

Sox have a realistic chance. The Indians will be tougher than either the Rockies or the D-Backs.

I'd love to see a WS in Denver. The weather will make it fun.

Is there nothing better than seeing Yankee fans with their hands on the head as the season comes tumbling down!

As a Sox fan, I am thrilled that we don't have to listen to idiot announcers go on and on about the fabled Sox Yanks rivalry. Since in 1975 I;ve been listenting to "the Sox Yanks Rivalry" until I wanted to puke.

I think whoever wins the ALCS wins the World Series, the American League is such a higehr caliber league, neither NL team will have enough pitcher or offense

You are kind of living in a glass house, the Red Sox are only second to the Yanks in payroll, they are also way overpaid, as for your prediction, too early to tell, nobody thought my Cardinals would win it last year and look what happened.

Grapes are always sour when you can't reach them. Yankees are always hated by losers that cannot come close to match their 100 plus years of legend. Get 26 World Series Championship under your belt before you criticize the Yankees. I concur with LDBK, when you disrespect the Yankees, you disrespect the legacy of baseball no matter who is your favorite team.

You've won 1 World Championship in 87 years and you think you can skip TWO best-of-7 rounds and be declared winners?

Win your 8 games first, hotshot, then you can boast!
