Even me a Yankee fan says no. They were always above the rest, but never above the above average.

No, they might get into the Yankees hall of fame, or maybe they have a ceremony before a game for them or something, but certainly not hall of famers. They were very good players, and they hustled and played for a long time, but they are not hall of famers.

Paul O'Neil doesn't have the numbers and neither does Martinez. Now if you said Egar Martinez that could be a maybe.

No, and no.

However, if the Yankees want to heap team honors upon them, go right ahead.

Ed.: O'Neill last played in 2001, and so was on the ballot for the first time in 2007. He received 12 votes, good for 2.2%, and so has fallen off the writers ballot.

Martinez last played in 2005 and will be eligible for the ballot in 2011.

They are the types of players who were above average, but not spectacular.

They don't have the numbers for the Cooperstown hall of fame, but if the Yankees had their own hall of fame, they'd certainly be inducted.

Like Dale Murphy, Jim Rice... fine players but not HOF stats.

No; Neither dominated their position for a decade they played nor put up the stats worth of induction.

Paul will probably get voted into the Reds HOF, though.

110% no...not even balloters. The numbers are not there. The heart was-that's what NYY lack now, besides pitching. But not the numbers.
