If the asker doesn't take the time to choose a best answer, I think it's perfectly ok to vote your answer as best answer. If it was cheating, wouldn't Y!A have fixed it to where you couldn't vote yourself best answer?

If you still like your answer the best then you should vote for yourself. The only thing that is cheating is if someone has more than one account and votes more than once.

I certainly have carried out it a pair of cases yet in many cases it is because of the fact mine somewhat replaced into the superb answer each and all of the others have been sure, no solutions and mine went into element...I dont see it as cheating in case you somewhat believe yours is the superb answer. I certainly have additionally voted for different persons because of the fact i presumed their answer replaced into humorous

Nope. I agree, if it was cheating Y!A would have prohibited it. I vote for my own answers, unless I see a really good one.
